Best Buy buys into Apple Pay

It was only a matter of time!

Best Buy was one of several large retailers who did not accept Apple Pay at launch in October because it was involved with a competing system called CurrentC from the Merchant Customer Exchange.

On it Monday announced it would immediately begin to accept Apple Pay in its mobile app, while adding in-store acceptance later this year at all its U.S. locations, according to a press release from the company that stated:.

“Today’s consumers have many different ways to spend their money and we want to give our customers as many options as possible in how they pay for goods and services at Best Buy.”
