Bluetooth helps passengers navigate airport

KLM passengers traveling from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport can now use the airline’s app to get a map of the airport that shows the route they need to take to their gate and the time required to get to there.

There was talk years ago of adding NFC to boarding passes so missing passengers could be tracked down wherever they were but this may be the next best, and much cheaper alternative. The cost of holding back planes and demoing luggage because of missing passengers is massive.
