Don’t sleep in the subway – you doity rat!

Those of you old enough will remember joyfully a song made famous by Petula Clark titled  “Don’t sleep in the subway.” Little would she have known how relevant that advice was as one poor chap discovered when he fell asleep on a New York subway platform but awoke in a flash to find a rat ‘attacking’ the smartphone in his trouser pocket.

But this was no ordinary rat – it was after a ‘selfie’ which it managed to take but never got to see. Now, if you think this is made up we have photographic and video evidence to prove it thanks to a vigilant passer-by and the clever little rat himself.
