A study into attitudes to mobile financial services suggests that Europeans could be a lucrative target market for telcos in the next 12 months.
Research company Ovum studied 8,500 consumers in 17 countries across mature and emerging markets from Asia, the Americas, Africa and Europe. The study, on behalf of Amdocs, included an investigation of users and non-users of mobile financial services in UK, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. It found that though half of all Europeans have never used mobile financial services, 15 per cent of them are ready to adopt advanced products in the coming year.
