IMS research claims that there will be more than 326 million cellular M2M connections globally by 2016, up from about 107 million today. For that to happen though, M2M has to play well with all that’s happening in the cloud. As a result, telcos have to figure out how to make on-demand connection management work across networks, clouds, and the public Internet.
